Bird of Paradise

14" x 19"
This piece includes both fused stained glass and stained glass. All of the colored pieces for the birds and the leaves I created in my kiln. This really makes it one of a kind.

Wilson Commission

These three panels are now in Landers, Wyoming. Each colored piece of glass was hand created. They all include dichroic glass which allows the glass to change depending on the light source -- from behind is one look, and then with the light source in front, there is another look.

Howell Front Nude

24" x 48"
These pieces were created when I was living in Ft. Lauderdale. Howell is a plastic surgeon in South Beach and specializes in male plastic surgery. There are two windows in his exam room. Each panel is now in that exam room. Howell commissioned me for these two pieces in preparation for a TV series Howell and his partner Doug were doing for a Bravo reality show, "Miami Slice." Unfortunately the series only made it for a couple of shows before going aloha.

Leu's "Lower Puna"

I created this panel for a friend in Kaimu here on the Big Island. Leu wanted something to represent Lower Puna, our district. What could be more Puna than lava flows, waterfalls, and pakalolo (marijuana). Again, most of the colored pieces I created and then fused in the kiln. For the pakalolo leaves, these were fused between two layers of glass. The leaves disappeared and what was left was the leaf imprint. There are three pakalolo leaves in this piece.

This commission was for a couple in Pepe`ekeo.  The colors were designed to match the colors of the floor of their new home

Maui Rainbow

This is an early work which I created for a fund raiser for the Maui AIDS Foundation for a silent aution.

Peter and Drew's Front Door

23" x 63"
This is the guy's front door. They removed the jalousie windows in the door and I created this piece for them. Even though this is in Ft. Lauderdale, Drew had created their home like a Hawaiian rainforest. The door panel represents the plants and flowers in his yard.

Planets

12" x 19"
The planets are fused glass and then put into a hanging panel

Road To Hana Bird of Paradise

Approximately 14" x 21" of both stained glass and fused glass.  It was created as a wedding present.  The rectangle green piece in the bottom middle is the engraved wedding invitation.

Saturn and Planets

13" x 19"
All of the colored pieces were created in my kiln. The image of Saturn has rings of dichroic glass, so that they appear with the light from behind, and pop out when the light source is in front of the piece.
